ID North has strengthened its position in cybersecurity in the Nordic region through a merger with Pulsen Integration’s IAM (Identity and Access Management) business.
Becoming a Nordic market leader in both the public and private sectors, expanding the offering within identity and access management (IAM), reaching more customer segments, and achieving greater geographic coverage are some of the driving forces behind the integration of Pulsen Integration’s IAM business into ID North.
“The rapid digital development and the current global situation have increased the understanding of and the need for IT security solutions among many companies and organizations. This merger makes us an attractive and comprehensive partner in IAM. We are two strongly complementary organizations with a clear and shared vision of how the market will evolve. I am pleased that we can join forces in this way and leverage each other’s strengths to better assist our customers,” says Jens Björkman, CEO of ID North.
The increasing pace of digital development is behind the growing demand for identity and access management. Lack of control over the permissions that individuals and systems have to sensitive data can have serious consequences, something that is often highlighted in the media.
“It’s about two corporate cultures and strategic ambitions that truly strengthen each other. Through this merger, we can offer an entirely new context for employees, customers, and the market as a whole. The need for these types of services has grown over the years, and with a focus on identity and access management, cyber threats don’t need to hinder innovation and digitalization,” says Alexander Westerling, CEO of Pulsen Integration.
In total, 35 employees from Pulsen Integration in Sweden and Finland will become part of ID North. At the same time, Pulsen Group becomes a shareholder in the parent company European ID Security, which includes ID North and Arctic Group. After the merger, ID North will consist of 65 employees in Sweden and Finland.
“The merger between Pulsen IAM and ID North is a natural next step in our exciting growth journey, where we aim to create a leading player in cybersecurity. We also see significant potential in having Pulsen as a long-term partner and welcome them as shareholders in our growing group,” says Frida Westerberg, CEO of European ID Security.
“Pulsen Group has extensive experience in running and developing companies in the IT and tech sectors, especially in cybersecurity. Therefore, we consider it natural to contribute our experience and expertise as an active owner to help European ID Security become a European market leader in identity and access management,” says Jonus Bartholdsson, CEO of Pulsen Group.
